Dimapur, Feb. 8 (EMN): In order to check liquor inflow during the ensuing state assembly election, Dimapur district Excise, in the course of the MVCP duty patrol, seized 348 bottles of assorted IMFL during the period from February 6 to 8 from various pockets in and around Dimapur town and accordingly 8 persons were booked under the relevant section of NLTP Act 1989.
A press release issued by the superintendent of excise and prohibition, T Arilong Longkumer stated that the excise authority would carry out the MVCP patrol round the clock in order to stop inflow of illegal liquor and to ensure a free, fair and clean electioneering process.
