Dimapur, March 23 (EMN): Basing on a tip-off, the Excise Mobile Squad personnel detailed at New Field Check Gate seized 250 cases of assorted liquor from an Imphal-bound truck bearing registration No. NL01K 4308 on March 20.
An update from the superintendent of Excise and Prohibition (MS), K Toshiho Yeptho stated that consignment was recovered concealed with household items. He added that two persons identified as Warenpam Meitei and Muna Chongdang were arrested and booked under relevant sections of the NLTP Act and the seized articles are deposited in the Malkhana.
