Evergreen Zeenat Aman captivates crowd at LFSSS jubilee

FOR those lucky few who managed to grab a glimpse of her at Livingstone Foundation Senior Secondary School (LFSSS), Dimapur will agree how arresting Zeenat Aman looked in a royal blue Salwar suit. Not only the Stonites but the city swarmed to get a glimpse of her. The gorgeous and evergreen Zeenat Aman, renowned Bollywood personality and Miss Asia Pacific 1970 who is still remembered for songs like “Dum Maro Dum” and “Chura liya hai tumne jo dil ko”, was in the city to grace the silver jubilee celebrations of Livingstone Foundation Higher Secondary School, Dimapur as the chief guest. She was accompanied by Vivek Mishra, model/actor/fitness yogist and Christy, French actress, dancer and Singer.
The crowd remained totally mesmerized during the stay of the actress at the campus. Sharing her amazing experience with the crowd, Zeenat Aman wished she and her son were students of Livingstone Foundation Higher Secondary School. She thanked the management for making her a part of this celebration.
A crowd of more than 1000 persons was seen completely immersed in fun and high spirits. The actor’s every walk and talk, action and interaction, meant thrilling and gripping to the thrilled crowd when she belted out the lines of her film song “Chura liya hai tumne jo dil ko”, “Nazar nahi churaana sanam”, “Badalke meri tum zindagani”, “Kahi badal naa jaana sanam”.
Greeting the crowd in Nagamese with the lines “the place is great, boys and girls are great”, guest of honor Rev. Dr. Clement Raja Kumar, Vice Principal & Chaplain, H.O.D. department of Physical Education, St. Stephens College, Delhi acknowledged two things he came across during the programme. He thanked God for bringing them so far to observe this silver jubilee celebration and acknowledged the efforts of the pioneer of the school. “What we see around us is the fruit and expression of commitment,” he stated.
Quoting Matthew 7:24-27, he said Livingstone School indeed is a rock on which characters have been built while calling upon the students, parents and the management to build the bridge of peace as all good things can happen through partnership.
Speaking on behalf of the alumni, Dr. Rhondemo A. Kikon and Unito Sumi, quoting Steve Jobs “Stay hungry, stay foolish’, encouraged the students never to stop believing in themselves and choosing something that they love to do.
Earlier, the welcome address was delivered by Arthur Edwards, administrator of the school and presentation of the report of 25 years of LFSSS by the principal, Prabhat Mandal.
The anticipation of the eagerly waiting crowd to get a glimpse of the actress was obvious. They surrounded the beauty queen from all sides when she reached the venue. The guests along with the parents and invitees experienced an evening and night of extravagance with the entertainment by students. It was a treat for the crowd and a night to remember for all those gathered for the celebration.
