ESB launches ‘Women Collegepreneur’ programme in Kohima
DIMAPUR — The Educentre School of Business (ESB) under Startup Nagaland launched the ‘Women Collegepreneur’ programme at Red Cross building, Kohima, on Friday.
The initiative is aimed at empowering young women with essential skills and knowledge, to prepare them for potential entrepreneurial ventures.
“This programme revolves around the core principle of fostering innovative and scalable business ideas aligned with the startup India ecosystem,” an update informed.
Participants of this programme are encouraged to conceptualise and execute innovative business ventures, which are innovative and scalable, with each team receiving vital seed funding of INR 10,000, to facilitate the realisation of their entrepreneurial aspirations.
During the launching programme, Ikheshe Kahoto, inspector, Department of Industries and Commerce, expressed sincere appreciation to the college students for coming forward to take part in the entrepreneurial initiative.
He underscored the significance of entrepreneurship as a driving force for future generations, commending the remarkable step taken by women in stepping out of their comfort zones.
Further, he extended the support of Startup Nagaland to women entrepreneurs, encouraging them to claim their rightful place, strive for recognition and serve as inspirational figures to the younger generation.
Educentre School of Business is an incubator under the Department of Industries and Commerce and has been actively contributing to the growth of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Over the past three years, Startup Nagaland has successfully assisted more than 50 startups and collaborated with over 200 entrepreneurs, showcasing its commitment to fostering innovation and business development in the region.
