Dimapur, DECEMBER 1: State Home Commissioner, Abhijit Sinha, who is also Electoral Roll Observer (ERO) of Zunheboto district, held a meeting with various stakeholders of Election department at DC’s conference hall on November 26.
In his address to administrative officers/ AEROs, Supervisors, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and recognised political parties, he spoke on Electoral Special Summary Revision and NERPAP and asked the officials present to ensure that person above 18 years were included in electoral roll. He cautioned that voters who were enrolled in more than one polling station are punishable under Representation of the People Act.Lauding the BLOs for their role in electoral reforms, the Home Commissioner asked the officials to make use of social media to be updated with latest developments and also to keep in touch with senior officials.
Various queries were also raised by BLOs and political parties which were clarified by Home Commissioner and Assistant Election Officer (AEO), Chisho K Swu.
Accompanied by ADC, Nungsangmenla Imchen; AEO, Chisho; GBs and BLOs, Home Commissioner also inspected polling stations within the district.
