ENSF to boycott teachers’ exam

Dimapur, Sep. 19 (EMN): The Eastern Naga Students Federation has on Tuesday stated that aspirants from its constituent tribes will not be appearing in the departmental examination for Graduate Teachers of maths and science subject that is scheduled to be held on September 25, 2017.
A from the federation stated its dismay over the what it stated as genuine demands being ignored by the department.
“Despite of several representation and appeals being made to the Department, the department had chose to ignore the genuine demands of the federation which compels to take such decision in against the evidently violating government notification No.EDS/-7/2008 Dated, Kohima, the 9th January 2009 by the department thus consequently prejudicing the interest and rights of the Eastern Nagas,” stated the press release from the federation.
It further demanded to the department not to make appointments against the posts which “rightfully belongs to the Eastern Nagas: Phom, Konyak, Chang, Khiamuniungan, Sangtam, and Yimchunger”.
To put into practice its decision, the federation also directed aspirants from the eastern areas to restrain from taking part in the examination.
