Dimapur, Sep. 21 (EMN): The Eastern Nagaland Students’ Federation (ENSF) has appealed to the state government to relocate or decentralise the venues of a recruitment drive as advertised by the Nagaland Police in August.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the federation felt that the prospect of those applying from the eastern districts could be hampered if they were to travel to Mokokchung, where the recruitment drive has been scheduled to take place.

“It is not only about coming down for a day or two but will have logistic problems during the entire recruitment session. It has also come to the knowledge of the federation that more than seven thousand candidates from the eastern Nagaland have applied for the recruitment, which the department needs to have a serious look into, as there are some places where even transport facility is still not available within their respective district headquarters,” read the statement.

Considering the above problems, it appealed to the state government to conduct recruitment drives for candidates from eastern Nagaland at their respective district headquarters.
