ENSF requested to call off agitation; committee to submit recommendations by Dec. 31

Dimapur, Dec. 3 (EMN): The cabinet sub-committee formed to examine the demands submitted by Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) in connection with Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) has appealed to the student body to call off its agitation.

The committee, headed by Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, held its first meeting on Thursday in Kohima, according to a DIPR report. 

“The committee discussed and deliberated all the six-point charter of demands submitted by ENSF in respect of NSSB and decided that the committee will expedite its report and submit its recommendations to the Cabinet latest by December 31, 2020,” it stated.

Following this decision, the committee has appealed to the ENSF to withdraw its agitation and allow the government to decide based on the findings.

The meeting was attended by all the members— legislators P Paiwang Konyak, Neiba Kronu and Toshi Wungtung; chief secretary and commissioner and secretary, P&AR department, it informed.
