Dimapur, Dec. 1 (EMN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has informed that its agitation will continue in the eastern districts of Nagaland after a meeting between its representatives and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Tuesday failed to achieve a breakthrough.

A press release from the federation stated that the meeting could not come to a logical conclusion as the chief minister stated that to address all the demands of ENSF requires more time as well as approval of the Cabinet.

It also informed that the second phase of its agitation—including boycott of Statehood Day celebration, locking down government offices and restricting movement of government vehicles —passed off peacefully on Tuesday. One vehicle was seized for “not respecting the directives issued by the federation”, it informed, adding that all the seized vehicles would be relapsed after their demands are fulfilled.
