Dimapur, Jan. 23 (EMN): The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) has expressed dismay over the silence of the Khango-led NSCN (K) on its demands, including termination of one of its cadres, and has served a seven-day ultimatum to respond, failing which it would take an own course of action.
A statement from ENPO media cell said that it had submitted a letter to Khango-led NSCN (K) in November last year asking for “unconditional withdrawal of all kinds of threat and intimidation upon any individuals/business establishments within Eastern Nagaland” and to terminate one, Mukhe, CCM of the group, within 15 days for alleged threat to life of Yimchunger Tribal Council (YTC) president.
The organisation and its six federating tribal bodies had on Jan. 23 “resolved to take its own course of action” if the outfit doesn’t respond to its demands within one week w.e.f. the date of publishing this report (Jan. 24).
