Empty promises and false propaganda are detrimental to society, says Zhaleo

Dimapur, Sep. 12 (EMN): Assuring that the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) government is more than stable, the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) legislator in-charge of Dimapur district, Zhaleo Rio, has warned the party leaders against spreading false propaganda, which is detrimental to the society, but to resolve all issues and work together for the welfare of the party and the people.

Speaking at the consultative meeting of NDPP Dimapur region at its central office in Chümoukedima on September 12, Zhaleo Rio, who is also the advisor of Sericulture, Excise and Minority Affairs, urged the party leaders not to give empty promises or spread propaganda, which are detrimental to a society but to be patient in order to harvest rich yield.

Zhaleo Rio was recently entrusted with overseeing party affairs in Dimapur district, an update from NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II AC media secretary Thejangukho Yalietsu informed on Saturday.

“Taking you back to two and half years, NDPP was in the initial stages of formation, and later with the mandate of the people, a popular government was established and the present PDA government is more than stable,” he stated, adding that many developments have since then accomplished, while many are in progress.

He, however, expressed regret that the whole world came to a standstill due to the present pandemic. “Likewise, due to various unforeseen reasons, a proper consultative meet may have eluded us till today but starting from now, let us solve all our issues together and assure our best to work for the welfare of the party and people,” he appealed, while noting the activities and grievances of different assembly constituencies.

Citing the absence of offices in some constituencies, Rio assured to extend all possible help and also requested the party leaders to responsibly enrol more members by creating cohesive ambience.

Based on the advice of the legislature district in-charge, the house unanimously resolved to co-ordinate, revamp and strengthen their respective constituencies on all fronts.

The meeting was chaired by Charlie Sekhose, convenor of NDPP Dimapur in-charge, while Razouvotuo Chatsu, NDPP general secretary (central) and member of NDPP Dimapur region in-charge, pronounced the invocation. Kughato S Aye, president of NDPP Dimapur region, presented a report of the regional activities, followed by presidential reports from all the five constituencies of Dimapur. Mayangtoshi Pongen, NDPP secretary (central), delivered the vote of thanks.

The consultative meet was attended by office executives from all assembly constituencies and units under Dimapur. All the units also presented their reports. The members further discussed to strengthen the party.
