Elephants kill man from Indisen

DIMAPUR — In a tragic incident, a 53-year-old man resident of Indisen village in Dimapur, was killed by wild elephants in the area bordering Indisen and Karbi Anglong in Assam, on Monday.

The chairman of Indisen Village Council, Toshi informed that the deceased had gone inside the Daldali Reserve Forest at around 3-4 am on Monday foraging for bamboo shoot. At around 9 am, his trampled body was recovered by one of the villagers.

The chairman further informed that the deceased hailed from Süngratsü village and was living with his father at Indisen village. Funeral was held at 2 pm.
