The NPF led by Shurhozelie said the Election Commission of India (ECI) cannot be misled by the cheap tactics of Noke led NPF.
In a a statement, the Shurhozelie led NPF said its attention has been drawn when it learnt from the media that Noke led NPF leaders have approached the Election Commission of India for recognition of their group as the original NPF party with a ‘cock’ symbol. “To us this is just a ploy to keep the dying fire of hope somehow burning in the Sovima camp, after all their stunts and tricks proved to be miserable failure,” said the statement. It also said every sensible citizen particularly ‘our party workers’ are reminded that the party General Convention was held as per the Constitution of NPF on November 26, 2014, where Dr. Shürhozelie was elected unanimously. “Even our two MPs (Rio and Zhimomi), Noke, Kaito, Azo etc. were all there in the General Convention, and they had raised their hands in support of Dr. Shürhozelie’s election, and congratulated him thereafter,” claimed the statement of NPF led by Shurhozelie. “Now, without following any prescribed procedure, how can a bunch of disgruntled party leaders hoist a parallel party president!,” it wondered. It also said in the eye of the law, ‘these Sovima campers’ have left the original NPF party, and have floated a new party. “This is not the original NPF party with ‘cock’ symbol allotted by the Election Commission. Let every party men be assured that the Election Commission cannot be misled or influenced by such cheap tactics. If Noke group wants to register themselves as a new party, it is up to them. Even if they ask for the ‘cock’ symbol that can never be allotted to the break-away party. At the most, they can be given the symbol of a ‘broiler hen,” the statement added.
