Eight students to represent at Children’s Science Congress
Dimapur, Oct. 27 (EMN): Altogether eight students from Nagaland will represent the State at the ensuing National Children Science Congress scheduled at Ahmedabad in Gujarat from December 27 to 31.
The eight students with their projects were selected during the 25th State level Children’s Science Congress held in the conference hall of the Red Cross Building, Kohima, on October 27 with Zhoi Lohe, SDO (Civil), Kohima, as the chief guest of the inaugural programme.
The Children’s Science Congress is a programme of the National Council for Science and Technology Communication under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The Nagaland Institute of Health, Environment & Social Welfare is also a member organisation of this network. In the programme, children from the age group of 10 to 17 years carried out survey and experimental studies employing the methodologies of scientific research and brought out their findings in the form of a report.
During the congress, their oral presentations and written reports were evaluated by a panel of experts. The programme is conducted regularly on an annual basis all over the country and the selected projects from each state are again showcased in the National Congress.
Eight students from various schools selected to represent the State for the ensuing National Children Science Congress. The selected projects on merit basis are:

- Neingumenuo Thur of Christ King Higher Secondary School, Kohima.
- Kilengwi Newmai of Zeliangrong Heraka School, Tening, Peren.
- Dziese Rutsa of Christ King Higher Secondary School, Kohima.
- Nilotoli H Chishi of Cornerstone School, Zunheboto.
- Centito K Yeptho of Cornestone School, Zunheboto.
- Punuvi A Assumi of Cornerstone School, Zunheboto.
