Eight more Covid-19 positive cases in Nagaland; state’s tally at 459

Dimapur, June 30 (EMN): Eight more Covid-19 positive cases have been reported in Nagaland from among returnees on Tuesday, taking the tally of the state to 459.

This was updated through Nagaland’s official Covid-19 dashboard on Tuesday morning.

Till date, Health authorities in Nagaland have declared 168 patients ‘recovered’ and there were 291 active cases in the state and no death till date.

It may be mentioned that Nagaland recorded its first Covid-19 positive cases on May 25 when three returnees tested positive for the virus.

The number of positive cases breached 100-mark as 13 returnees from Chennai tested positive for the virus, taking the state’s tally to 107 on June 6.

Subsequently, the number of positive cases crossed the 300-mark of Covid-19 cases as 50 returnees tested positive for the virus, taking the state’s tally to 330 on June 23.

The number of Covid-19 recovered cases in the state reached 100-mark on June 16 as 11 more returnees tested negative in their second tests on Tuesday, taking the recovery tally to 103 in the state.

As of June 30, Kohima has 92 active cases, followed by Peren with 83 active cases; Dimapur has 53 active cases; Mon with 38 active cases; Tuensang has 20 active cases; Zunheboto has three active cases, while Mokokchung and Phek have one active case each.
