Dimapur, July 2 (EMN): In pursuance to government’ order dated June 30, the principal director of School Education, Shanavas C, has issued directives to all teachers, school heads and officers serving under the School department.

According to the notification, all heads of Institutions should be in their respective place of posting and attend schools regularly. They are asked to prepare a roster and notified so that 50% of the teaching and non–teaching staff attend school on a particular day by adhering to Covid-19 appropriate behaviours at all times. The 50% of staff not attending on any day should work from home and be available on phone/mail for dealing with any urgent school works. 

It stated that list of teachers not present at their respective place of posting as on July 6 should be submitted to the concerned DEOs/ senior SDEOs / SDEOs through email on July 7. The concerned DEOs/ senior SDEOs/ SDEOs should compile the list and send the consolidated list to the directorate through email (director.se.nagaland@gmail.com) on or before July 9.    

It stated that school heads should prepare class-wise list of students not taken admissions in the format (Sl. No./ Name of student/ gender/ class/ total No. of students supposed to take admission in that class/ name of school/ district) in MS Excel file and submit to respective DEOs/ senior SDEOs/ SDEOs on or before July 9. It added that concerned DEOs/ senior SDEOs/ SDEOs should compile the data and upload the same at the file shared with them through Google drive on or before July 13.    

School heads are asked to contact parents/ guardian of dropout students with the help of teachers, NGOs, student bodies, church leaders and encourage admitting their children to appropriate classes and resuming schooling.

The last date prescribed for admissions in the academic calendar 2021 has been extended to August 13 for classes up to class 7. The extended last date for admission to classes 7 and above should be as per notifications issued by NBSE.

It informed that class-wise list of students admitted through the special admission drive should be submitted to the directorate  of  School Education in the prescribed format (to be issued in due course of time) during the period from August 14 to the 18th.

It has directed the school heads and teachers to explore all possible ways to assist students in making the best use of the online/ offline teaching-learning activities being undertaken by the schools and the department.

It has also asked to make all possible efforts to implement the directives/ guidelines issued regarding online/ offline mode of teaching-learning activities vide the office notification dated May 20.

Further, all DEOs, senior SDEOs, SDEOs are asked to assign inspection duties to JEOs, AEOs, SISs posted in their establishments and ensure that those officials inspect schools regularly as assigned to them.

Meanwhile, the School Education department has notified that the last date for registering claims/ objections in regards to the tentative seniority list of graduate teachers with the respective DEOs/ SDEOs has been extended to July 31 in consideration of the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic. It informed that failure to register claims/ objections within the stipulated time limit would be construed as validation of the entries adding that submission of claims/ objections after the expiry of the stipulated time limit would be treated as invalid and no complaints whatsoever would be entertained thereafter.
