Dimapur, Oct. 17 (EMN): The directorate of School Education has issued a clarification in regard to reported delay in payment of salary to Hindi teachers as alleged by the All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU). Principal Director, School Education, Thavaseelan K, in an update stated that though the Finance department disbursed the allocation on September 14, authentication is to be done from the Treasury directorate.
“The authentication was completed on September 21, 2022. The fund must then be allocated in the ePaybill and later disbursed DDO-wise and the same must also be updated in the Treasury portal which is a time consuming task,” it stated.
It also stated that due to differences in classification code of the fund sources, lots of adjustment and tweaking was needed in the process of allocating fund in both the portals.
“ANHTU members were informed that CSS salary payment will be delayed on account of this,” it added.
