Dimapur, Oct. 5 (EMN): To understand and take stock of the issue regarding “delivery of quality education” in Kiphire and Phek, a team of officials from Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland Education Mission Society and School Education department toured the districts from September 30 to October 2.
This was informed by media coordinator of Smagra Shiksha on Saturday through a press release.
The inspection team led by state mission director Kevileno Angami consist of joint mission director Dr. Kevizakie Rio, assistant mission director Kelhikha Kenye, state co-ordinator Imlikokla Christine and officials from engineering wing.
The team inspected and verified the ongoing projects and schools, and interacted with the students, teaching faculty, public leaders and officials of the villages. They visited GPS in Thanamir (established in 1967), GHSS in Salomi, GHSS at Pungro (established in 1973), GMS, GPS, KGBV,on- going Model School construction and visited the proposed site for construction of girls’ hostel at Pungro, informed the update. These facilities in the pipeline are being taken up to provide accessibility for children of the nearby villages to mid/high schools at Pungro.
They also visited GHSS Meluri, GHSS Pfutsero and GMS Zapami village. The GHSS Pfutsero and GMS Zapami village are said to be ahead of other government schools in terms of infrastructure, facilities, teaching quality and learning outcomes due to committed teachers and strong community participation in the management of the schools.
