DIMAPUR — The Department of School Education (DoSE) informed that the new admissions for class 11 in all the Government Higher Secondary Schools functioning in the state of Nagaland would commence from April 29.
It informed that there will be a single online admission portal for all the GHSS. Students/ parents are asked to login into the ‘GHSS admission portal’ through the link given at the department’s website https://education.nagaland.gov.in and submit applications for schools and streams of their choice.
It stated that one student can submit application for any number of schools and streams of his/her choice.
It also informed that the portal will be kept open from April 29 to May 1 for students/ parents to submit applications. It has directed the students to upload copies of HSLC admit card and mark sheet.
Students/ parents facing difficulties in using the online facility are asked to take assistance of the common service centres functioning under the department of Information and Technology. They are asked to download the ‘admission form’ from the portal and submit the duly filled-in forms to the respective schools on or before May 1.
In case of acceptance of forms at schools (offline mode), the respective schools are asked to include details of the candidates to the list of candidates submitted applications through online mode and process together.
It informed that the school-wise ‘List of selected candidates’ along with ‘Waiting list’ will be published in the ‘GHSS admission portal’ on May 3.
As the details of admission fee to be paid are made available in the portal, it stated that the selected students should pay the admission fee (offline) on May 3 and 4 to the respective schools during the above mentioned period.
The allotment of vacant seats to candidates from the waiting list in order of merit will be done on May 6.
Meanwhile, the department informed that Science stream has been introduced at TMGHSS in Kohima and GHSS in Noklak from the current academic session. It stated that admissions to the following newly activated Government Higher Secondary Schools will be done through offline mode only.
Additionally, the department has introduced Arts stream at GHSS Hakhusang in Tuensang and GHSS in Lenrijan, Dimapur.
