With a vision to educate and help the underprivileged children in realizing their potential, Dream Foundation (DF), non-formal educational centre, was inaugurated at Naga Colony Dimapur on Saturday. “We will reach out to the children who cannot afford to go to school, and through our non-formal educational centre we plan to provide education to the children which will be a stepping stone for the young children,” president and founder of DF David said during the inaugural programme.DF was founded by two NGOs – Abundant Life Ministries and Impact Foundation.
T Lima Jamir, founder of Impact Foundation, in his exhortation encouraged the members to be like a heart, which never complains or searches for holidays, by helping the needy children who long for education.
The DF at present has 20 children who are imparted education by four teaching faculties. The target of DF is to educate 100 underprivileged children from the age group of 5-15 years.
The DF is mainly founded to provide free education to the underprivileged and downtrodden children who are living below poverty line and in slums. DF will also promote and emphasize on confidence building and personality grooming.
Rev. S. Vitoshe, ES, WSBAK urged the members of DF to show the light of God to children who have not seen it and to keep seeing visions and dreams. He said this can be achieved by fighting all the challenges and hurdles that come their way.
