The East Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union (EDSSU) today held a felicitation programme for its members who have passed in the HSLC and HSSLC examination conducted by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) at Sumi Baptist Church, Purana Bazar, with Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Ilika Zhimomi as the main speaker.
Ilika Zhimomi, while speaking on the occasion, said that clearing HSLC and HSSLC is the first step towards achieving many more in their journey of life. She has advised the students to set their goals and strive towards achieving them. She has also advised them to overcome temptations that come their way.She has encouraged them to trust themselves and have the faith in God and to stand firm and focus in their dreams/aims and work hard to convert their dreams into reality.
Associate Pastor SBCPB, N Suhuto Chishi, who also spoke on the occasion, has likened life to that of a race that starts with ‘on your mark’ and ends with ‘go’ wherein the best is declared winner. Illustrating on the life Daniel from Bible, N Suhuto Chishi has encouraged the students to trust in God in order to become a successful person without being a victim of worldly temptations that comes their way.
Bonikali Awomi also spoke on behalf of passed out HSLC and HSSLC students followed by a mass prayer for the successful students led by Senior Pastor NCRC, Rev. Dr. Shiwoto Assumi and church leaders.
