Dimapur, Feb. 20 (EMN): The East Dimapur GBs’ Association (EDGBA) expressed anguished by what it termed as ‘unwarranted’ disturbances in the construction of old Dhansiri bridge at Purana Bazaar allegedly by the landowners which abruptly disrupted the ongoing construction works and caused delay in the completion of the much awaited bridge.
An update from the association stated that its members visited the construction site and took stock of the situation and resulted in resumption of the work. It also stated that the association would take action as deemed fit according to the law against anyone who try to obstruct the work progress. The association also added that its members supervise the work on a daily basis to ensure its completion.
Meanwhile, the association has acknowledged the prompt action taken by the deputy commissioner of Dimapur on the issue. The association has reiterated to remain vigilance against anyone who defy the DC’s order adding anyone doing so would attract legal action as deemed fit in the interest of the public.
