Dimapur, July 27 (EMN): Routine emergency services at Eden Medical Centre in Dimapur will resume from July 28, after the hospital was closed following the detection of a Covid-19 patient, the hospital has informed.
The director of the hospital issued a note on July 27, Monday, informing about the resumption of services.
‘Routine and Emergency services at Eden Medical Centre were suspended after a Covid-19 positive patient was diagnosed in our ICU on 18th July 2020. As soon as this case was diagnosed, authorities were informed and patient was shifted to Covid Hospital on 19th July 2020,’ the hospital’s management stated.
‘The ICU was immediately sealed under the order of the deputy commissioner. All protocols were followed in tracing the primary contacts and all were immediately isolated and are now being kept at quarantine centre. The ICU and the entire hospital have been sanitized by DMC (Dimapur Municipal Council).’
‘We have decided to resume our services (except ICU) from 28th July 2020. We want to inform the public that since the whole hospital and its premises has been disinfected, it is absolutely safe now. It is also our request to the public that our hospital staff should be allowed to move in and out of their residence/colonies without which we will not be able to function efficiently,’ the updates added.
