Eco & Statistics department amends registry rules

Economics & Statistics Department has amended enhancement of delayed registration fees on births and deaths which has been substituted and incorporated under Section 9 sub-clause 1, 2 & 3 of the Nagaland Registration of Births & Deaths (Amendment) Rules 1999.
According to the new amendment, any birth or death for which information is given to the Registrar after the expiry of the period specified (21 days) in Rule 5, but within thirty days of its occurrence, should be registered on payment of late fee of Rs 10.
Any birth or death for which information is given to the Registrar after thirty days but within one year of its occurrence, should be registered on production of an affidavit made before a notary public and on payment of late fee of Rs 20.
Any birth or death which has not been registered within one year of its occurrence should be registered only on an order of a Magistrate of the first class or a Presidency Magistrate and on payment of late fee of Rs 30.
Statistics designate RTI officials
The state government has designated/ appointed Appellate Authority (AA), Public Information Officer (PIO) and Assistant Public Information Officer (APIO) for performing functions under the establishment of Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Kohima.
The government has appointed Y Sacheo Ovung, Director and HoD, as Appellate Authority (AA), Neisatuo Puro, Deputy Director, as Public Information Officer APIO, Statistical Officers Vikosieto Krose and K Rhanbemo Kithan, as Assistant Public Information Officer (APIO).
APIOs in the districts are Lhoulabeituo, District Statistical Officer, Kohima; E Lithungo Lotha, Deputy Director & District Statistical Officer, Dimapur; Chubathung Ezung, District Statistical Office, Peren; Nyusnotho Nyuthe, District Statistical Officer, Phek; Peter Chumdemo, District Statistical Officer, Wokha; M Akang Yimchunger, District Statistical Officer, Kiphire; R Thsanso Yimchunger, District Statistical Officer, Tuensang; M Akang Yimchunger, District Statistical Officer, Kiphire; C Hamyung Phom, District Statistical Officer, Longleng; Aotemsu, District Statistical Officer, Mokokchung; and Neizekho Angami, District Statistical Officer, Mon.
