Eastern Mirror installs news stand at Dimapur Airport
Dimapur, Dec. 28: Eastern Mirror installed its fourth newspaper stand at the Dimapur Airport on December 28 as part of the newspaper’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). A small ceremony marking the event at the airport also saw the presence of the director of Dimapur Airport, Mughavi Zhimo.
During the event, the managing partner of the Eastern Mirror, Khrietsonuo Rio, said that the initiative was part of Eastern Mirror’s CSR, intended to provide free news to travellers and staffers of Dimapur airport. She said that 25 complimentary copies will be provided each day at the stand.
Mughavi Zhimo lauded the first-of-its-kind initiative and gesture by Eastern Mirror. He expressed optimism that the rest would follow suit. Expressing gratitude to the publication for the contribution especially toward meeting the need for information to travellers, Zhimo said that Dimapur Airport has also a number of developmental projects in the pipeline.
The general manager of Eastern Mirror, Shari Longkumer, on his part noted that Eastern Mirror has recently installed three newspaper stands, one each at the Naga Hospital Kohima, the Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital in Mokokchung and the District Hospital of Dimapur.
