E-Kata National Karate championship to commence from July 16

Dimapur, June 16 (EMN): The International Shito Ryu Karate Federation, India (ISKF-India) will be organising the E-Kata National Karate Championship from July 14 to the 16 to encourage and motivate the straitened karatekas (karate players) ‘to move forward and be strong and competent in this pandemic and continue practising’.

A press release stated that the event is being organised under the initiative of the president of International Shito Ryu Karate Federation, India (ISKF-India) and the president of All Nagaland Karate Do Association (ANKA), Shihan T Sangtam.

It said that the event is organised to celebrate the 56th birthday of Indian Karate’s mentor and the president of South Asian Karate Federation, Hanshi Bharat Sharma on July 14.

It stated that no entry fees would be collected from participants or teams, and that champions in each category would be given Gi-suits (karate uniforms).

The categories are senior men, senior women, junior boys, junior girls, cadet boys, cadet girls, 12/13 years boys, 12/13 years girls, 10/11 years boys, 10/11 years girls, 8/9 years boys and 8/9 years girls.
