DYRS to organise virtual football skill competition

Kohima, July 11 (EMN): In celebration of 75th Year of India’s Independence (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav) programme, the department of Youth Resources and Sports (DYRS) is organising a virtual football skill competition for both boys and girls from July 1 to Aug. 14.

A press release stated that the competition aimed to encourage and provide platform to talented footballers and freestylers to show their skills virtually.

The winner in both categories will receive INR 10,000, the runner-up INR 7,000, and third place INR 5000. Other prizes will include INR 1000 for the most viewed video on YouTube and INR 1000 for the youngest contestants.

It stated that video submissions would begin on July 11 and end on Aug. 10. The winners of the competition will be announced on Aug.15.

Participants can send their insane workout videos showing tricks to DYRSvirtual@gmail.com or send in 9916580774 in whatsapp document file with their name, age, and contact information. It added that the video duration should not exceed two minutes

As per the guidelines it stated that participants are limited to Nagaland state only, and the videos will be uploaded on the ‘Dept. of Youth Resources and Sports Nagaland’ YouTube channel.

It further stated that a jury of football coaches and veteran players based on methods, execution, skills, accuracy, tricks, and creativity would decide the competition’s result.
