DIMAPUR — Multiple organisations, including the Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF), Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO), and Tenyimi Youth Organisation Dimapur (TYOD) have condemned the abduction and assault of Kiyeto Zhimomi, a businessman and Gaon Burah (GB) of Vikuho village.
The DUCCF, in a note, expressed its support for the Western Sümi Hoho, Western Sümi Kukami Hoho, and Western Sümi Youth Front regarding the ultimatum issued against the NSCN/GPRN (Khango-Vusshe).
The federation condemned the act committed against Zhimomi, reportedly carried out at Mishikito village at around 3 pm. The DUCCF termed it a "despicable barbaric and lawless act" and a direct assault on traditional institutions. It demanded an immediate and impartial investigation and the delivery of swift justice.
The CPO expressed profound relief following the release of Zhimomi but vehemently condemned the abduction. "Such a criminal act is not only violation of law and order but a grave infringement upon fundamental human rights," the CPO stated.

It appealed to law enforcing agencies to treat the matter with urgency, adding that the release of the victim does not conclude the case. The CPO asserted it would remain vigilant until the rule of law is fully upheld.
The TYOD strongly condemned the incident of assault and abduction against Zhimomi on January 19 by the ‘national workers of NSCN-K (Khango-Vusshe)". The organisation stated that such acts of violence, intimidation, and unlawful coercion are unacceptable and pose a serious threat to public safety.
"Targeting members of the business community not only endangers individual lives but also undermines trust, peace, and development in society," the TYOD stated, urging authorities to conduct a thorough investigation.
