DSC Zunheboto felicitates district sportspersons

Dimapur, Sep. 15 (EMN): The District Sports Council Zunheboto (DSCZ) organised a felicitation programme for Zunheboto district podium finishers in the 2nd Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games 2022, 44th Inter-District & State Open Badminton Championship, and other budding sportspersons from ‘Catch Them Young tournament,’ at DSCZ indoor stadium on September 14.

A DIPR report stated that advisor, School Education, and SCERT, KT Sukhalu, who was the special guest of the felicitation programme, in his address said that one can earn a livelihood through sports provided one is ready to walk the extra mile with discipline and consistency.

Sukhalu appealed to the elders to encourage their children to take up sports apart from education.

NikitoTsuqu, a two-time gold medalist in boxing in his sharing said that even before joining boxing, he had the zeal to do something good for the community and expressed happiness that he could fulfill it through sports.
The programme was chaired by DSCZ member, Zhekugha Assumi, it stated.
