Dimapur, March 3 (EMN): Dimapur Rengma Students’ Union (DRSU) has appealed the state government to release the pending salaries for the aggrieved RMSA, SSA and Hindi teachers.
“Teachers are of the utmost importance in shaping a society and therefore the government should not neglect but needs to pay attention towards payment and release of their salaries,” stated DRSU.
In a press release issued by union president, Tenyebinlo Himb and assistant general secretary, Daniel Kemp, stated that teachers are to be respected and honoured by one and all, as they render their full time effort and ‘Life’ in imparting education to develop society in every aspect.Due to the pending payment of salaries, DRSU said teachers were facing untold hardships, but the union has been grateful to all the teachers for being patient and sacrificing genuinely because of the love for the students.
DRSU also reminded the government that the students will be adversely affected in many ways once the teachers stop cooperating with the government and starts boycotting classes.
Further DRSU appealed to the government of Nagaland to stop giving clarifications, extending due dates, but to start sorting a way out for a positive outcome at the earliest so as to avoid any untoward incident. The union extended its fullest cooperation and support towards the genuine cause.
