Dimapur, June 11: The Divisional Railway Manager of North East Frontier Railway, Lumding, Promod Kumar Jain has said that NF Railway is committed to make Dimapur Railway Station into a model railway station during his visit to Dimapur Railway Station this morning to inspect ongoing projects and to inaugurate pay and use toilets inside the station which was constructed by N.A. Constructions.
During his brief stopover, Promod Kumar Jain rued that encroachment of railway land has hampered the development of Dimapur Railway station and stated that cooperation of the local people and the government is most vital for the development of Nagaland only railway station.
Promod who visited Dimapur Railway station for the first time after taking over the charge of DRM Lumding some time back also expressed satisfaction over the works of ongoing projects which are being implemented by registered local contractors. He was optimistic that with cooperation of local people and the government, Dimapur Railway station will be one of the best railway stations in the region as there was lots of developmental activities in the pipeline for Dimapur station.
He congratulated the managing director of N.A. Constructions, Niuto Awomi on completing the project with the stipulated time and urged the commuters to make use of the facility which will be hygienically well maintained.
It is evident that numerous developmental activities have been taking place in Dimapur Railway station and which the Railway Contractors’ Union Nagaland said was because of the sincere dedication and hard work of Additional Divisional Engineer and Senior Sectional Engineer of Dimapur Railway station.
Railway Contractors’ Union Nagaland felicitated the Divisional Railway Manager and his team of railway officials and expressed appreciation to him for having concern for the development of Dimapur Railway station.
