Vevosa Khamo and Bizo Puro of DRDA department were declared champion in Men’s Double in the inter-departmental badminton tournament which concluded on August 15 while Kezhaletuo and Imlisunep of 5th NAP, Phek, were declared runners up and Nukhuhu and Kelhikha Kenye of GHSS, Phek, second runners up.The final match of Inter Departmental Badminton Tournament was held on August 15 coinciding with the Independence Day celebration in Badminton Stadium.
The winners received cash prizes of Rs 5000, Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 respectively along with certificates.
In women’s double, Ale Aier and Vetanie Aier of Medical Superintendent (MS) Office were adjudged winner while Azenuo and Wepe-u from CMO Office bagged the 1st runners up and Chewule Tara andVethikholu of GHSS were declared first and second runners up respectively. The winners were given cash prizes of Rs 5000, Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 respectively along with certificates.
Superintendent of Police, Phek, Deepali Masirkar (IPS) and Additional SP Imtimeren of DEF, Phek, were declared winner in the mixed doubles while the second prize was won by Huto Soho and Vetanie of MS Office. The winners have received Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 respectively along with certificates.
