Departmental officials from District Rural Development Agency, Dimapur and RD Block Chumukedima inspected various on-going MGNREGA road projects at Diphupar ‘B’ village and Sovima village on Monday as part of routine inspection and held informal discussion with the members of village development board and village council.Tsuki Ao, Block Development Officer, RD Block Chumukedima and Pillai, AE, DRDA Dimapur who inspected the projects highlighted the VC and VDB members on various technicalities in implementing the schemes and advised them to properly utilize the fund for development of the village.
Apparently pleased at the progress of the road construction works, the two officers asked the VC members to maintain the road properly, a press release stated. Tsukti Ao also told the members to have proper maintenance records and reports and also photographic evidence, sign boards, etc.
Stating that village administration should be efficient for development of the village, Pillai advised the villagers not divert the scheme but carry the work ahead to create durable assets by consulting the department for any developmental work.
