Dr. Yhome distributes farm machineries to P Khel council
DIMAPUR — Advisor of School Education and SCERT, Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, has handed over agriculture farm machineries including a tractor, three power tillers and two grass cutters to Pfuchatsumia Khel Council for promotion of agricultural activities.
The farm machineries were given away during the adoption of Pfuchatsumia Khel of Kohima village programme under the Village Adoption Committee (VAC) for 10-Northern Angami-I Assembly Constituency held on December 16 at P Khel council hall.
Speaking at the programme, Dr. Yhome expressed hope that various departments would work together in cohesion with P Khel council for successful implement of different schemes. He was of the opinion that Kohima village, despite being a part of the state capital and located near the Civil Secretariat, has been deprived of many government schemes. The advisor expressed optimism that the VAC activities would percolate down to other three khels of Kohima village following the successful implementation at P Khel.
Yhome also expressed his admiration to P Khel council for keeping the development of the Khel above individual interest.
The EAC and convener VAC, Dr. Riku Khutso, who also chaired the programme, informed that 10 departments have come together to work for the welfare of the P Khel. He, therefore, sought the support and cooperation of the P Khel Council for successful implementation of the projects.
He also informed that VAC, in consultation with the council, would come out with an action plan for the different activities.
The district project officer of Land Resource department, Kohima, Dr. Menuosietuo Tseikha, shared the purpose of village adoption and also about the projects available under the department.
The chairman of P Khel Council, Kelhousietuo Rutsa, in his welcome address, appreciated the advisor for choosing P Khel to be first in Kohima village under VAC. He also lauded him for handing over agriculture farm machineries through the Rural Development department to P Khel Council.
The administrator of Kohima Municipal Council (KMC), Lanusenla Longkumer; executive engineer of PHED (Urban), Neilhoukholie Chielie; chief veterinary officer of Kohima, Dr. Rokozo Dolie; DIC functional manager of Kohima, Jessy Jurry; assistant controller of LMCP, Shiloh Kath; welfare inspector of Social Welfare department, Zahebeituo Kire; and junior engineer of BDO office, Kohima, Imnatuba Jamir attended the function as the department representatives of Village Adoption Committee.
The departments, while presenting their activity plans, assured of extending all possible support and to implement the centrally sponsored schemes and state government schemes in P Khel.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the deputy registrar of Cooperative Societies, Rokovisa Chase.
