Dr. Samudra Gupta Kashyap, appointed as chancellor of NU
DIMAPUR — Former State Information Commissioner of Assam and eminent journalist, Dr. Samudra Gupta Kashyap, has been appointed as Chancellor of Nagaland University.
The President of India in her capacity as Visitor of Nagaland University, appointed Kashyap as the Chancellor of Nagaland University on August 27, an update stated.
Kashyap is a Guwahati-based journalist who completed his post graduate diploma from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi.
Vice-Chancellor of Nagaland University, Prof. Jagadish Kumar Patnaik, expressed the hope that the appointment of Kashyap will accelerate all-round development of the university.
