Dr. Phil: Bruce Jenner is too old for gender transition

Phil McGraw thinks Bruce Jenner is too old to undergo a gender transition. The TV doctor was asked if he was upset he lost out to ABC’s Diane Sawyer – who will be interviewing the ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star – but joked if it had of been him, he would have spent the majority of the interview telling the 65-year-old former Olympian “what’s the point”.
Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, he said: “It would be boring to talk to me about that. First off, I would say, ‘Look. If it’s what you want to do … do it! What the hell’s it matter what anybody else thinks?’ That would be my point.
“That would the first 30 seconds and I guess we’d spend the next hour and fifty nine minutes saying, ‘You’re almost 80, what’s the point?’ This is a theoretical exercise, right? I don’t know. He’s kind of like past prime for like … right?”
Meanwhile, in the latest teaser for Bruce’s interview – in which he is expected to speak about his gender transition – the star admitted the chat was an “emotional rollercoaster”.
He said: “It’s going to be an emotional rollercoaster, but somehow I’m going to get through it…
“I wanna know how this story ends, you know? How does my story end?”
In a previous trailer for the two-hour long show entitled ‘Bruce Jenner: The Interview’ – which airs tomorrow (24.04.15) night – the television personality was heard telling Dianne: “My whole life has been getting ready for this.”
