Dr. Neisatuo Mero inaugurates Science stream at GHSS Pfutsero

DIMAPUR — MLA Dr. Neisatuo Mero inaugurated the 61st annual school sports week and Science stream at Government Higher Secondary School, Pfutsero.

During the inauguration of the Science stream, Mero emphasised the importance of education for an individual's overall development and highlighted Pfutsero's serene and peaceful environment, rich in natural blessings, as an ideal location for students' education.

He also encouraged the students, drawing inspiration from the life of the legendary sprinter Milkha Singh, who, despite the challenges of being separated from his parents during the India-Pakistan partition, achieved greatness and won gold medals in the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games.

He lauded Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for his commitment to school upgrades and Dr. Kekhrie Yhome, Advisor for School Education, for introducing the Science stream. He also thanked former minister Neiba Kronu for his initiatives in this regard.
