DIMAPUR — Member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (MLA), Dr. Neisatuo Mero, inaugurated the Lürhü Girls’ Hostel at District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) in Pfutsero town under Phek district on Thursday.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Dr. Mero called upon the students to be united and also sought cooperation among the teaching faculty.
As a former hosteller himself, he encouraged the students to make new friends and learn good things from one another. He expressed hope that they would together march forward towards the improvement and development of DIET.
Dr. Mero further thanked the chief minister of Nagaland for his concern towards Pfutsero constituency and for bringing development to DIET as well as the girls’ hostel. He also thanked the advisor of School Education and SCERT for his keen interest and also the land owners for contributing the land to the government for development.
The principal of DIET, Atula Wai, delivered the welcome speech, while Zaveta Kotso, senior lecturer, delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was chaired by Dr. Aneile P Duolo, senior lecturer.
