Mokokchung, November 10: Naga People’s Front (NPF) 23 Impur A/C held a consultative meeting today at Kobulong Sub-division with Parliamentary Secretary of Geology and Mining Dr. Imtiwapang Aier, who hails from this Assembly Constituency under Mokokchung district.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Aier opined that party workers should not desire for pecuniary or other materialistic gain but rather dedicate themselves to work for betterment of the society. He asserted that party workers should not only work for strengthening the NPF party but also know the plans and policies of the government and disseminates the information to the mass. The Parliamentary Secretary also expounded on various issues pertaining to party activities in the constituency. He also highlighted on the efforts being put in for the development of the constituency.
In this regard, Dr. Aier appealed for a concerted effort from the party workers towards the development of 23 Impur A/C and also to share a common vision among the party workers for the betterment of the constituency.
Also speaking on the occasion, Moasangba Jamir, president of NPF Mokokchung division, said a leader should be humble, sincere and honest. He urged upon the party workers to work towards fulfilling the aspiration of people.
Terming the people in the grassroots level as the pillar in the party, Jamir urged the party leaders to actively involve with them stating that they play an important role in every aspect.
Others who spoke at the meeting included Tangit Imsong, general secretary (administration), NPF Mokokchung Division; presidents of women and farmers’ wings NPF Mokokchung division and other A/C leaders.
The meeting was attended by officials from NPF Mokokchung Division and office bearers of the Impur A/C- parent body, youth wing, women wing and farmers’ wing.
