Dimapur, May 10 (EMN): MLA, Dr. Chumben Murry during the monthly Wokha district planning and development board (DPDB) meeting on Monday shared that with rise of e-commerce, there was a need for proper delivery system including home delivery services.
Dr. Murry raised various questions on the services being provided in the district by the Indian Postal Services and maintained that it had a huge role to play for the benefit for the people, a DIPR update stated.
The DPDB meeting was held at DC’s conference hall, Wokha. Vice Chairman DPDB and Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Orenthung Lotha chaired the meeting.
On aspirational block, Changpang, Deputy Commissioner Orenthung Lotha said that the district had already set up a committee where DC would be the chairman and the committee was waiting for further instruction from the government to take up various activities.
Meanwhile, CMO, Wokha, Dr. CW Tungoe highlighted on Covid-19 vaccination status. It said that a total of 15,186 persons had been vaccinated out of the 20,780 vaccines allotted for Wokha district. MS Wokha, Dr. Tumchobeni also highlighted the activities and status of District Hospital Wokha.

New members, BDO Sanis, R Thungchamo Ovung and EAC Baghty, P Sangtam were introduced and welcomed during the meeting.
