DIMAPUR — The Phek district planning and development board (DPDB), during its meeting on March 13 under the chairmanship of minister of Power and Parliamentary Affairs, KG Kenye, welcomed the new deputy commissioner (DC), John Tsulise Sangtam, to the district.
On behalf of the Phek legislators, DPDB and people of Chakhesang and Pochury communities, the chairman welcome the new DC and expressed happiness for having an experienced administrator to run the affairs of the district.
The advisor of New and Renewal Energy and Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, Z Nyusietho Nyuthe, stated that the people of Phek district are fortunate for posting an experienced administrator, stated a DIPR report.
Also speaking at the meeting, the new DC expressed gratitude to the state government for trusting him to be the deputy commissioner of Phek district. He also sought cooperation from the public for smooth functioning of the administration and to take the district forward.
Report stated that matter regarding regular presence of government officials in the district headquarters was discussed at length. In this regard, the chairman and Nyusietho Nyuthe appealed to the officers to sincerely attend their duties for public service in the district.
Agenda on registration of society in respect of Cotton Weaving at Sumi village was thoroughly discussed and forwarded to the government for approval.
The president of Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO), Vezuhu Keyho, who was also present at the meeting as invitee, spoke on the need for posting of officers in the district and reminded the officers to be more regular in their place of posting. He also welcomed the newly posted DC to Phek district.
The new DPDB members including the ADC of Chozuba, Dr. Diana Patton; ADC of Pfutsero, Moakumzuk Tsudir; DPO, Atu Vasa and principal of Government Polytechnic Chetheba, Keduhiwe Kapfo, made self-introduction at the meeting.
The department of Art and Culture and Labour and Employment were entrusted to make powerpoint presentation in the next DPDB meeting.
