DPDB meetings, pre-Christmas celebrations held in Tuensang, Tseminyu

DIMAPUR — The Tuensang District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) held its monthly meeting-cum-pre-Christmas programme on Wednesday at Thangki, Noksen Sub Division, under the chairmanship of Imtichuba, MLA, and Chairman of DPDB Tuensang.

A DIPR report stated that during the meeting, the board recommended the renovation of Sao Chang College, Tuensang, addressing specific infrastructure development needs, including the establishment of a science lab on campus. This initiative aims to support the successful implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 at the college.

The board endorsed the proposal for the upgrading of the Sub Town Council at Noksen town, with the recommendation forwarded to SDO  Noksen. Additionally, it forwarded a proposal to the concerned department for the creation of an Agriculture and Land Resources office at Noksen town.

The board also recommended the electrification of Mokden Farm at Longra village to enhance agricultural activities in the region. Furthermore, it endorsed the construction of an iron suspension bridge to connect Lithem and Longkong villages.

Meanwhile, the pre-Christmas programme was chaired by DC Tuensang Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, and greetings were extended by Imtichuba and MLA Y Lima Onen Chang.

Tseminyu: The Tseminyu DBDB organised a day out-cum-pre-Christmas on Wednesday at Tsenthong, Kithagha village, Tseminyu.

The event, chaired by Longasen Lotha, ADC Tseminyu, brought together members for a review of previous meeting minutes and discussion of various agenda items.

Agenda items discussed during the programme included the allotment of land for a staff duty room at the 5MVA 33/11/KV sub-station in Tseminyu. Additionally, the connection of water supply at Primary Health Centre, Tesophenyu, was addressed. The meeting also involved a review of the verification committee’s report for the 12th Tseminyu A/C for LADP 2023-24.

The programme was attended by MLA and Chairman DPDB Tseminyu, Jwenga Seb, who, on the occasion, delivered Christmas greetings. It was chaired by ADC Tseminyu Longasen Lotha.

The welcome note was presented by DC Tseminyu Rohit Singh, while the vote of thanks was offered by Vilhouhunuo Sachu, District Planning Officer and Member Secretary, Tseminyu DPDB.
