DPDB Kiphire and Tuensang hold monthly meetings to discuss LADP schemes, while Longkhim SDPDB is scheduled for July 17.

DIMAPUR — The District Planning and Development Boards (DPDB) of Kiphire and Tuensang held their monthly meetings on Wednesday to discuss various developmental schemes and preparations for the upcoming Independence Day, while the Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) of Longkhim has scheduled its meeting for July 17.
Kiphire: The monthly meeting of the Kiphire DPDB was held in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner (DC), Kiphire, under the chairmanship of DC Temsuwati Longkumer.
According to a DIPR report, deliberating on the agenda for the registration of the META NOYA Society, Kiphire, the board decided to recommend the proposal to the higher authority for consideration. The board also approved the schemes and projects under the LADP 2026–27.
Later, the board deliberated on the Independence Day celebration, and the work distribution was finalised.
The senior scientist and head of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kiphire and the AEO of the Election department, Kiphire, presented their departmental activities through PowerPoint presentations.
Tuensang: The Tuensang DPDB held its monthly meeting under the chairmanship of DPDB Chairman Imtichoba, MLA, and co-chaired by DC Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa in the DC’s conference hall.
After reviewing the previous meeting minutes, the board discussed the deplorable road conditions of NH 202 and the Tuensang-Longleng Road, which were brought up by the chairman. Following deliberations, the board directed the department concerned to look into the matter at the earliest.
The meeting also discussed and approved the LADP schemes for the financial year 2026-27 for 51 Noksen A/C, 52 Longkhim-Chare A/C, 53 Tuensang Sadar-I, and 54 Tuensang Sadar-II A/C.
Addressing the members, the chairman appealed to the heads of departments to discharge their official duties with utmost sincerity for the upliftment of the people in the district.
The house also discussed the work distribution for the forthcoming Independence Day celebration and decided to organise a mass social work in the town on August 1. The DC informed the members to submit the names of employees under their respective departments for the District Commendation Awards by July 30.
The executive engineer of PWD (R&B) Tuensang presented a PowerPoint presentation on departmental activities.
Longkhim: Meanwhile, the Additional Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman of the SDPDB Longkhim, Anoka H Assumi, has informed all board members that the Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board meeting has been scheduled for July 17 at 11:00 am at the DUDA Hall, Longkhim.
All concerned members have been requested to attend the meeting.
