ZUNHEBOTO: Zunheboto DPDB meeting was held at DC’s Conference Hall on January 16. Deputy Commissioner, L. Akato Sema NCS, who chaired the meeting, extended New Year greetings to all the members and also thanked DPO & Secretary DPDB, Sukhamo who would be retiring from the service this month, for his dedicated and sincere service rendered towards the Zunheboto district.In the meeting, DPO & Secretary DPDB also took time and expressed his profound gratitude to all the past and present members of the Board and also highlighted some of the projects and works initiated under his tenure. Highlights of the meeting included work distribution for the upcoming Republic day celebration, road safety week to be observed from January 17 to 23, and construction of dustbin at public local ground which was being referred to next meeting and observance of National voter’s day on January 25. All HoDs and schools under Zunheboto attended the meeting.

TUENSANG: District Planning and Development Board for the year 2014 was held at DCs Conference Hall on January 15 under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Tuensang.
The meeting deliberated agendas including approval for opening of Green View School Longkhim, Construction of C.C. Steps at Angangba Village and preparation for the Republic Day celebration programme.
The House also discussed and approved for the proposal under the current year 2014-15 which includes construction of Roads under NLCPR from Huker to Chesore and Chessore to Shamator. Upgradation of Helipong to Chessore road and Water supply Project (Gravity System) for Shamator ADC Hd. Quarter, main source from Keikiupahyiung River were also approved.

LONGLENG: Longleng District Planning & Development Board meeting for the month of January 2014 was held on January 9 in the DC’s Conference Hall Longleng under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB, Longleng, K. Libanthung Lotha.
At the very outset Deputy Commissioner & Chairman warmly welcomed all the members present in the meeting and conveyed New Year greetings to the house. He also thanked the members and various committee who actively involved in the last combined DPDB of Mon, Longleng and Tobu Sub-Division-Cum-Advent Christmas celebration at Shingphang bridge and termed it as a successful and memorable event.
In the meeting, the Chairman informed the house about the visit of Governor of Nagaland in Longleng district on February 1 next.
Commissioner briefed on the purpose of the Governor’s visit and also apprised some major development department heads to be mentally prepared for interaction with Governor. Assignment/work distribution list relating to the Governor’s visit was also read out.
With regard to the Republic Day celebration, the chairman read out the Department wise work distribution for grand celebration of Republic Day 2014 and also requested all the heads of the department to do the needful as per the assignment.
On the Rengma & Karbi issue, Deputy Commissioner & Chairman of the house read out the letter received from the Commissioner of Nagaland, regarding the Rengmas & Karbis conflict. He requested all members, NGOs and right thinking citizens, administration heads of the respective jurisdiction to initiate for safeguarding the Karbi people living in the District and not to create any unnecessary ramous.
Highlighting on the Special Development Zone, Chairman read out the letter received from the Chief Secretary of Nagaland for Special Development Zone which was passed by the cabinet and received from industries & Commerce Department for sharing of ideas, suggestions and comments.
Reviewing the last meeting minutes, No.7 pertaining to proposal for shifting of Range Office from Shetap to Tamlu ADC HQ, clarification was sought from the DFO (Forest) Tuensang. However, since no clarification report was received from the concerned department, the house agreed to wait the clarification from DFO Tuensang, and requested the concern department to submit in the next meeting for discussion.

MON: The Mon District Planning and Development Board meeting for the month of January 2014 was held on 13th January 2014 at DC’s conference hall Mon, under the chairmanship of, MLA and Chairman NKVIB and DPDB Mon, N.Thongwang Konyak.
The chairman welcomed all the members present and thanked them for successful conduct of last joint DPDB & SDPDB meeting of Mon, Longleng District and Tobu Sub-Division in the last December 2013 held at Sheangphang Bridge between Aboi and Longleng.
He further encouraged the House to co-operate with each other and to tie up with the district public needs in the days to come. Reviewing the last DPDB meeting minutes, Deputy Commissioner cum Vice-Chairman DPDB Mon, Angau I. Thou (IAS) reiterated that the management committee of LADF should reach the work site while going on verification of the work done under LADF. It is also announced that the border guest house will be constructed soon at Loakon village, Tizit division under Mon District, Tri-Junction of Assam, Nagaland & Arunachal. She further directed SDO (PWD) Tizit to submit the clear report of road construction from Tizit to Yanpan, Sakhu, Loakon and Nokzang under ISC plan and from Shangsa- Longting to Yannu under NEC plan to the DC office before the next DPDB meeting, for further submission to the Government.
DIO, CMO Office, Mon Dr.Amenla, announced the successful conduct of polio eradication in India and requested the gathering to encourage bringing the children below 5 years of age to the respective nearest polio booth in the next last phase polio campaign scheduled on 19th of January 2014. Mass social work and work distribution on account of coming Republic day 2104 was announced in the house. The meeting was attended by NGO leaders, security force and most of the DPDB members.
Earlier Rev.J.Tenwang Konyak, District Chaplain invoked God’s blessing to start the meeting.

PEREN: The monthly Peren District Planning & Development Board meeting was held on 15th January 2014 at DCs Conference Hall under the chairmanship of SDO (C), Avelu. The Board members discussed on the replacement of water supply pipeline in Peren district. The Board also discussed for the preparation for forthcoming Republic Day celebration.
