Kohima District Planning Development Board (DPDB) special meeting for local area development programme (LADP) was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Honje Konyak at DC conference hall today. The meeting was conducted by the DC, The DPDB members welcomed the newly elected member of Nagaland legislative Assembly (NLA) MLA Nephrezo Keditsu who contested and was elected in the recently held Bye- Election of the 11 Northern Angami II A/C under Chiephobozuo ¬Sub-Division.
The DPDB members also approved the Local Area Development Fund (LADF) and the LADP, under common Pool for the year of 2014-2015. All the 8 constituencies under the Kohima district (8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13rd, 14th, and 15th) Assembly LADP fund was 83.75 each. The total amount of LADP, under Common Pool approved during the year 2014-15 was Rs 105 crore. The grand total was 691.25 lakhs.
Deputy Speaker NLA, Er.Levi appealed to the members to co-ordinate the representatives so as to implement the departmental activities in the sub-Division and particularly beseech the Rural Department to brief how the Convergence MNREGA has been implementing and taking into their account. He apprised to them that to Guide the Sub-Division officers in order to get Maximum benefits and also urged to careful while using the funds which they would give answerable.
Project Director, Kohima, while highlighted the Flagged ship Programme of Convergence Fund that it was declared by the Government of India in 2014 and said that the entire 60% MNRGA was Spend on Labour cost and the 40% others.
The Deputy Commissioner requested to the Representatives to come and attend the DPDB meeting to know the development activities in the held meetings. The minister for Social welfare Keyanilie Peseyie also attended the programme. The normal DPDB meeting and outing meeting will jointly held on 15th November 2014 and the venue will inform to the members latters.
