Kohima, Sep. 25 (EMN): The Doulo Clan Kohima vehemently condemned the assassination attempt on the life of proprietor of M/S Kuda Cold Storage, L Doulo on Sep. 21 presumably by NSCN (K) cadres.
Terming the act as ‘dastardly and beyond human comprehension’, the clan in a condemnation note issued by its chairman, Khazu Doulo and secretary, Liengute Doulo felt that there is no safety for anyone if a 73 year old Naga businessman who is providing employment and hope to the Naga people can be shot at his own workplace by armed men of factions marauding towns and villages. While stating that such terrible and atrocious activities are nothing short of ‘goondaism and terrorism’ in nature, the clan has extended its full support to the 15 days ultimatum given to the law enforcement agencies by the DCCI, BAN, EDBA, CCCTA and others to book the criminals.
Meanwhile, the clan thanked all those organisations and individuals for taking a strong stand to fight against such murderous people who take the name of Naga national movement and prey upon people for extortion and taking away their hard earned money.
The clan also expressed hope that the law enforcing agencies will book the criminals at the earliest so that citizens are protected and the people’s confidence in them will be bestowed again, lest the confidence of the people is lost in the law enforcing agencies in fighting against criminals.
Kuzhalhu Zawe: The Kuzhalhu Zawe (public organisation) strongly condemned the life attempt proprietor of Kuda cold storage, Lhoupenyi Doulo, Sep. 21 by cadres of NSCN (K).
The organization said such dastardly act of terror against innocent citizen has no place in the Naga society.
“The Kuzhalhu Public Organisation wonders whether NSCN (K) is fighting for freedom or busy perpetrating terror against its people through illegal extortion,” the condemnation note added.
The Kuzhalhu Zawe appealed to all the citizens of Nagaland to come together and condemn such dastardly act of terror upon the people.
The organisation also extended its full support the 15 days ultimatum submitted to the authority by the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI), Business Association of Nagas (BAN), East Dimapur Business Association (EDBA) and Chumukedima Chambers of Commerce and Trade Association(CCCTA) to arrest the culprits. The Kuzhalhü Zawe expressed sincere appreciation to all the organisations for the support in condemning such criminal act.
Further, the organization cautioned that if the authority of NSCN (K) and state law enforcement agencies fail to take action they will be held responsible.
DDCF:The Dimapur District Citizen Forum (DDCF), a collective body of all tribes and communities of Dimapur condemned the life attempt on a prominent citizen of Dimapur, the proprietor of Kuda Cold Storage L Doulo, on Sep. 18 by unknown miscreants.
DDCF President Joseph Lemtur and general secretary A Rahman have requested the law enforcing agencies to nab the culprits at the earliest “as such incidents brings a sense of insecurity among the minds of citizens especially when the culprits are not arrested and punished as per the law.”
