Dota 2 news: Evil Geniuses becomes first team to qualify for The International 10
Dimapur, May 14 (EMN): North American Dota 2 team Evil Geniuses became the first team to qualify for The International 10 after defeating Undying 2-0 yesterday at the North America DPC League.
Evil Geniuses have secured 1150 DPC points after yesterday’s win which is more than the minimum amount of points required to qualify for The International 10.
The win comes after they were ranked first in the DPC Season 1 followed by second place in the 2021 ONE Esports Singapore Major. Evil Geniuses have been in impeccable form throughout the series and they are yet to drop a single game. They are currently 5-0 and will face Quincy Crew on May 16, another team from the region that has yet to drop a game.

The match between these two in-form teams is going to be an entertaining affair for Dota 2 and esports fans alike. This match will decide who will qualify for the next major as winners of DPC Season 2 of the North American region.
Virtus Pro and Team Secret are the other two teams that are almost guaranteed to win a spot at The International 10. However, Invictus Gaming, the 2021 ONE Esports Singapore Major champions, are in a precarious position as they currently sit in the sixth position of the Chinese region of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit League.
This will be Evil geniuses’ 7th appearance out of the ten editions of Dota 2‘s The International championships. The North American Dota 2 powerhouse had previously lifted the Aegis of Champions back in 2015.
