DoSE announces essay writing contest for teachers

Dimapur, Sep. 9 (EMN): The Nagaland Education Project- The Lighthouse (Nectar) under the Department of School Education (DoSE) has announced an essay writing competition for government school teachers on the topic ‘Educational vision: Best practices in school governance and management.’

The Nagaland Education Project – The Lighthouse (Nectar) aims at improving the overall quality of education and transforming the education system in Nagaland, an update from the principal director of School Education, Shanavas C, stated on Thursday.

It informed that teachers from all government schools in Nagaland could participate from wherever they are based and stand a chance to win exciting prizes such as Android tablets for the participant teachers and school supplies for the school.

It stated that the best entry would win an Android tablet and school supplies worth INR 20,000 for the school. Besides, it informed that the 12 best entries, one from each district, would also win Android tablets and school supplies worth INR 8000 for the school.

“The winning entry(s) will be duly acknowledged and appreciated by the DSE. The participant will automatically agree to DSE using the submissions in a compendium on best school governance and management practices and in different materials created by the department,” it said.

The closing date for the submission has been set before 6 pm on September 20. It informed that no submission after the deadline would be considered. It further informed that entries should be submitted only through school authorities via email to contact@nagalandeduproject.com or on Whatsapp phone number 9863605643. All concerned are asked to log into www.education.nagaland.gov.in for further information of the competition and submission rules.
