DoNER minister reviews development progress in northeast with CMs
DIMAPUR — Union Minister for Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), G Kishan Reddy, held a review meeting with the chief ministers of the eight north eastern states, on Friday.
During the meeting, which was held virtually, Reddy assessed the progress of various development initiatives and central government schemes in the states.
According to an update on the X micro-blogging site, the minister also underscored the need for a comprehensive government approach to foster the development in the northeast region, in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.
Union Minister of State for DoNER and Cooperation, BL Verma, DoNER Secretary Chanchal Kumar, along with ministry officials and representatives from the eight states participated in the discussion, the update stated.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio also posted on X, updating about the meeting. He said matters with regard to timely completion of the ministry’s ongoing projects in Nagaland were discussed.
