Don Bosco Tech, AIDA Centre inaugurates 12th batch of trainees

Having completed the training and placement of 11 batches, DB Tech, AIDA Centre has inaugurated the 12th batch with 53 trainees on February 21 by Rev. Fr. Jose Palely, Provincial Economer, Salesians of Dimapur Province, as the chief guest.
State Coordinator, Dimapur Province, Andrew Gangmei gave a brief report on DB Tech’s activities been carried out in different centres in the country. He said till date DB Tech, Dimapur Province has trained 4549 and placed 3449 rural unemployed youth in Hospitality, Beauty & Spa and Food & Beverages services, Housekeeping, Security Guard, Electrical, Motor Mechanic and ISMO. The candidates are placed in various service sector like Taj group of Hotels, Resorts and Palaces, ITC Hotels, JW Marriot hotels, Le-Meridien hotels, Westin Hotels, Raddissions hotels and Resorts, Club Mahindra, Sterling Holidays, Taj-Jiva Spa, SanSha Exports, O2 Spa, Lakme, Apollo groups of hospitals and wellness, Loccitane Spa, Tattva Spa and Naturals’ Spa and Beauty Saloon, Shahi Exports Private Limited and Fenolex.
Nelozu, one of the trainees welcomed the gathering and Simon Chang shared his life-testimony on behalf of trainees.
Fr. Jose Palely as the chief guest told the trainees that they had an inner urge to do something with their lives. “On looking back they found that they had missed out something in life and wanted to claim back. This is truly a remarkable step that they took in saying YES to the opportunity that knocked at their door.”
“I am here because of that YES. Many had doubts, anxieties, fears and lots of negative thoughts, but like the insect in the cocoon or like the chick in the egg, you broke the shell of your fears and came out courageously to make a new beginning. That takes guts. That make one on the road to success,” he added.
“You have will and determination, you have perseverance and endurance. These four pillars will support them wherever they go he told the trainees. No situation or event can stop them if they have these four qualities. All the other qualities will come automatically.”
Fr. Jose wished the trainees continued hard work, excelling each day competing with one self and becoming better than the previous day. “If you do that the world will bow before you and give way to your dreams and quest and you will walk like a conqueror.”
The audiences were enthralled by Lotha folk song, Chakhesang folk dance, Mao Folk Song, Rongmei Dance performed by the trainees. Detolu, Spa trainee pronounced vote of thanks.
After the inaugural function parents-staff meeting was held along with the trainees. 50 parents attended the meeting, conducted in order to inform the parents and trainees about the purpose of the training and placement.
During the interaction State team, Centre-in-Charge along with the trainers briefed the parents and trainees about the training program, personal grooming and the work culture in industry and the importance of the completion of the course for the job placement.
